September 22, 2018 is a day I want to remember forever. This was the day my best friend and I did our first event under our own entities. No bosses, no organizations…just us and our dreams.

Although, I’ve been in Birmingham 5 years, I don’t necessarily feel connected here. Out of the five years I’ve been pregnant twice, ive changed jobs….I’ve had life happen.

Two years ago,I attempted to take HER from a blog to a viable entity and was making connections and getting more involved…when I got pregnant…and had hyperemesis gravidarum and was basically bedridden for 6 months.

So to say that the Brunch was “all a dream” was an understatement. Not only that I got to do it with my best friend…and my oldest son.

Daniel has expressed an interest in photography so I hired him to take the pictures for the event.

I have always had the desire to do something like this, but honestly doubted if I could pull it off. But how many wonderful, awesome and fabulous women have I interviewed that started right where they were..only to come out on top?

So that’s my challenge to you. Start right where you are. Don’t let fear, doubt or negative thoughts stop you from stepping out.
