About two years ago, the hubby and I decided to do only one kid days. Meaning one kid would be taken out to do all kinds of fun activities WITHOUT having to share that time with another sibling.
Being in a blended family is challenging and when you have as many kids as we do, it is really easy to lump all the kids together as one group. My one kid only days are called Mommy-son date days. I let my boys pick where they want to eat, what they want to do and for that time period it’s all about that kid. We try to do this every other month, but… sometimes it doesnt happen.
For Lennon, I’ve gone solo to several school activities, but haven’t been able to make it to Daniel’s. I’ve gone every year for Daniel so I was disappointed that I couldnt always attend both things.
So, I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to implement a date day. So Daniel got to pick the restaurant and activity for the day. We had a blast!
what are some ways you celebrate your kids individually.
I’m going to start soon. I think this os a great idea and as always Daniel is so camera friendly!!!
